Wild Garlic Experience

Wild garlic is one of the most popular springtime native Irish herbs. It is tasty and versatile, easy to preserve and has a myriad of culinary uses and medicinal benefits. This workshop focuses on two varieties of wild garlic that are abundant in Ireland, ramsons, and triangular stalked garlic.

You will learn how to confidently identify both varieties and you will have an opportunity to forage for your own woodland ramsons to take home. We will finish up with a delicious bowl of wild garlic soup, and you will receive a comprehensive eBook on wild garlic with lots of original recipes.

ABOUT OUR FORAGING WALKS

Our foraging walks are a great way to deepen your connection with nature and learn with like-minded people. They are fun, informal and inclusive, while also being educational and inspiring, with a strong emphasis on safe plant identification. Everyone is welcome, from the complete beginner to the more experienced forager.

Every foraging walk is different, depending on the topic, season and location. We have many repeat guests who have come to multiple foraging walks and workshops over the years. From simply picking blackberries to make jam or elderflowers to make cordial, to fermenting wild garlic, pickling seaweed or making wild berry syrups, there is always something new to learn.
